    It would also be nice to have a description field in each step to give more details on what the step does and why. We could possibly export to Word or Excel to generate deployment instructions for regulatory compliance.

    It would be very beneficial if it would show what Octopus variables are being used in the step too.

    It would be really useful to add the same features as tenant tagging and variable templates to environments too. Please allow variable scoping to environment tags too.

    I attempted to do this:
    #{Octopus.Action[CHPD].Package.NuGetPackageVersion}_i in the project version template, but got this error when attempting to create a release:

    There was a problem with your request.

    Please enter a valid Semantic Version, for example '1.3', '1.3.1-beta0001' or '1.3.1.9000'.
    The version number is too long. Please enter a shorter version number.

    Hi Richard,

    There is a shortcut that can help – if you right click on a variable, there’s a Duplicate option. It doesn’t work with multiple selections however, but it should get you part of the way.
