After upgrading to the new UI (v4.1.0) I can no longer effectively use the browser's ctrl+F 'search' to search for e.g. variable names in the variable set lists as not all items are being loaded. You have to scroll down to load all the items on the page and then search for your item. Using ctrl+F is the quickest/easiest way of searching on the page. Please make a configurable option to switch to SYNC loading mode of pages as the performance gain of loading 100-200 rows asynchronously (on demand) isn't worth compromising on usability in my case.
