This would be a great improvement for us. We deploy everything as an application or virtual directory under a single website, so I need to control auth setting for each app.
The DEPLOY TO IIS step already has auth settngs for a Web Site and it works, so it looks like the heavy infrastructure is already in place. There might be challenges involved but I'd love to see the auth options available for web apps and virtual dirs as well. Would save us a lot of ugly code to work around this limitation.
