Tracking releases on other octopus deploy servers
We have a host that controls UAT and production. They manually promote sites by hand currently but are open to something automated that they control.
Internally we have a CI environment and test server but don't want to give access to the host to our intranet or active directory or expose our octopus deploy to the host.
We would like to see the state of releases in UAT and production on the same board as our CI release.

Ability to bulk enable/disable all PCs in an environment
It will be really helpful to be able to enable/disable PC/Tentacle environment wide.

Queue Viewer
We've had a couple issues where something in the Queue froze and stopped all future deployments. When it's a project that seizes up, we can cancel it, however when it is an internal task (e.g. Tentacle Health Check), the only way to fix the issue is go into Raven Studio. I know I can see the completed tasks, but I would like to be able to view the queue, and perhaps cancel jobs from there as well.

Scoping Variables to Only UI or Config files
I just set up a project where I created a variable called logfiles to use as a variable in a step template. I did that, and around the same time was looking at the documentation for how to do key/value pairs for web.config and I realized that I don't see a way to scope a variable to just configuration files or just the UI (or more intentionally NOT config files). My concern is that I will set a variable that ends up being a key in one of the config files and so I unintentionally update a value in the…

usability - icon to edit project group from "projects" drop down
If I want to edit a project group, I must first navigate to the "all projects" overview page. Would be nice to just have an edit icon in the "Projects" dropdown for easier access.

Listing/viewing Active Users in Octopus
It would be helpful to view active users in Octopus prior to placing Octopus in maintenance mode for Server upgrades.

Octopus Cloud - Packages - shift click support with packages
It would be nice if you could shift + click to select a range of packages to delete in the Library > Packages for a given package.

White background behind logos
I added over 60 logos in an earlier version of octopus, many had white backgrounds rather than transparent, now they all look a bit off against the pale grey background.
Ok ... this is a tiny thing but thought I'd mention it.

Allow for a global setting for the Dashboard Configuration
Being able to set the maximum projects settings for the Dashboard configuration on a global level would benefit our setup due to the high count of projects in our Octopus instances.
Most developers have configured their dashboards for their own projects/project groups but a new user, or a user who hasn't configured their dashboard, will experience long loads times on the Dashboard view so I feel that being able to configure that setting at a Global level (reduce the default setting of 200) would reduce the load time for those users and give them a better initial experience on Octopus.

Automatic Logo Finder
This is a pretty trivial idea, but I like me some logos.
I suggest on the settings screen when you pick a logo, that octopus could automatically do what I do manually.. and that is look up the twitter account that matches my project and the facebook account and... and show the logo/avatar of each, and let me pick one of those. (perhaps give the option to put a different name since sometimes the obvious name isn't the correct one)0 votes -
Canceled Deployments should show tasks as canceled if they did not complete
When a Deployment is canceled, deployment task lists should show as canceled if they did not complete
Currently, when a multi-step deployment is canceled, the machine shows as successful even if only 1 step is completed

Deployment step success and error colors Red/Green color
On the deployment steps, when a step fails the step entry color flips to red. For a success it is Green
For a person that is Red/Green color blind telling the difference can be almost impossible to detect
changing the step icon from the Plus to a X or Check will make it easier to distinguish

Support the new In-VM metadata service for load balanced nodes
Microsoft has just released the Azure in-VM metadata service that will let you know when a machine is going to be rebooted.
it would be great to tie this into the node maintenance functionality so that the node is automatically drained.
It might be useful to do this for AWS as well (similar to https://github.com/scopely/shudder), but that looks a lot harder.
